wagga marketplace case study

Our teams’ turnkey solution powered $30m retail project

The expansion of the Riverina’s largest shopping complex, Wagga Marketplace in 2015 involved demolishing part of the existing building, extending the underground carpark and creating 3600m2 of new retail floor space.

The complex’s new electrical system was completed entirely in-house, bringing together the experience and know-how of four of RIC Electric’s divisions – Contracting, Switchboards, Communications (teledata), and Security.

It was our innovative approach and ability to provide a complete turnkey solution to head building contractor, Mainbrace Constructions that won RIC Electrics’ the contract to supply electrical services to the project.

CASE STUDY: $5m Albury Water Filtration Plant Upgrade

albury city water filtration case study

Powering a cost-effective solution to Albury’s water needs

Albury City Council supplies drinking water to 55,000 residents of the southern NSW regional city of Albury and the surrounding Greater Hume Shire.

The millennium drought highlighted limitations in the ability of Albury’s two direct filtration water treatment plants in meeting targets for water production and potable water quality during periods of poor raw water quality.

To ensure security of the city’s potable water supply, the Council had two choices – construct a new plant or upgrade the existing ones. It chose to undertake the staged upgrading of the two existing plants, with Plant B the first to be upgraded.
